Teen Writing Contest
ThinkWRITE is an annual creative writing contest for teens (ages 11-19), open to all Clark County, Nevada students. We invite creative teens to explore and express what matters to you! Whether it’s a short story, poetry, or a personal essay, we want to hear your unique voice and perspective on the world around you.
The contest opens for submissions annually on December 1st with an Award Reception held in mid-April the following year.
CONTEST CATEGORIES
Short Story ~ Tell a story that matters, a story that only you can tell.
Poetry ~ Express your feelings, ideas, and experiences in an artistic way that only you can create.
Essay ~ Share a topic through argument or persuade us to adopt a particular viewpoint.
Be a Judge and Mentor
Discover how you can empower our aspiring teen writers by volunteering to serve as one of our judges. Judging is all done online so you can read and score in the comfort of your own home and convenience.
