Inner-City Outreach

Discover Our Vibrant Exhibitions

Inner City Outreach is a ThinkART! initiative to offer free educational support and appreciation to art educators in primary and secondary schools. Designed to wrap around academic curriculum, the program supports art educator in exposing students to the world of art and promotes visual literacy. The program also promotes critical thinking by having students understand the rationale behind the production or artworks in their various cultural, political and historical contexts.

The program is volunteer-driven and provides students (grades K-12) the experience of entering their work in juried exhibition, preparing their work for public display, and an opportunity to market their work for sale. It also increases exposure and appreciation for art among the general public. ThinkART! Inner-city Outreach also brings awareness and appreciation of the arts to traditionally underserved communities.
